Well, we’ve been out of our home for two weeks now and I’m finally getting around to blogging about our basket pendant lights…. better late than never, right?
Originally, these were inset lights. I thought the space just needed a little something. The space was very white and I thought what better to finish off a space than natural woven baskets?!… they just typically don’t hang from the ceiling. Lol!
This project was extremely easy and not too expensive compared to other options.
First I purchased this conversion kit from Lowe’s…
and two of these large baskets from hobby lobby… (in store you can purchase them individually instead of in sets.)
Then I cut the handles off of the baskets and ran the wire of the conversion kit through the middle of the basket. I secured it with some twine just to be safe. The base of the kit is much larger than the wire so the light bulb will never get near the basket.
Next we replaced the inset lights with the conversion kit. It screws right in and is much easier than you would think.
Annnddd that’s it! Super easy and makes a huge impact!
Love always, Savannah 🖤
